I haven’t danced since you died.
I did start laughing again though, so I suppose any thing is possible. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve danced through tears, but this would be the most empty one yet. The silence on Earth is deafening, without your voice here.
The only thing that really carried me through is the memory of you, your ambitions and dreams. The only reason I found at first to keep going was to finish what you started. All that you wanted to accomplish in life and all that you loved, I feel like I should strive to do.
You never feel very far away actually. As days go by, there is a aura of you. Gone are days where I feel crazy that I feel you near.
Every single day I hear Safety Dance on the radio so I think you’re saying it’s time and you’re with me all the time. Every part of everything I grew with had pieces of you and you’re wrapped up in me, you’re family, and all of us are pieces of you, pieces of everyone.
